CUB prioritizes safety via fire training, enhancing emergency readiness.
Dhaka, Bangladesh - March 14, 2024, the session, led by esteemed trainers Mohammad Shahidul Islam, SSO, and Md. Nuruddin, WHI from FSCD, Training Complex, Mirpur, Dhaka, provided participants with vital knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond effectively to fire emergencies.
During the training session, participants were equipped with essential knowledge on various aspects of fire safety, including the proper operation of portable fire extinguishers, initial treatment of injured persons, understanding the four types of fires and corresponding extinguishers, strategic use of extinguishers for 'poisoning the flame,' and the importance of utilizing fire exit ways in emergency situations.
This initiative underscores CUB's unwavering commitment to ensuring a safe and responsive campus environment. By providing staff members with the necessary tools and knowledge to handle fire emergencies effectively, CUB aims to create a culture of safety and preparedness within its premises.
Speaking about the importance of such training initiatives, a representative from CUB stated, "The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff are of paramount importance to us. By conducting comprehensive fire safety training sessions, we aim to empower our staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to any fire emergency situation. This initiative reflects our dedication to maintaining a safe and secure campus environment."
About 40+ participants have engaged themselves actively in that session. A MCQ test has been held on the learning outcome immediately after the session.
The Fundamental Training session received positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the opportunity to enhance their fire safety skills and contribute to creating a safer environment for all members of the CUB community.
