Short Biography
Mr. Muktadir is a public health researcher and lecturer with academic qualifications from Bangladesh and Europe, including an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Public Health in Disasters from Karolinska Institutet and Universidad de Oviedo. His work is driven by a strong interest in understanding how lifestyle, nutrition, and health systems interact to shape population health outcomes.
His research experience centers on malnutrition, 24-hour movement behaviors, and their associations with cardiometabolic and mental health outcomes. He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and ongoing manuscripts, including research on childhood obesity, lifestyle clustering, community-based interventions, and emerging applications of augmented and virtual reality in public health.
In parallel, he brings extensive field experience from humanitarian settings, having worked with organizations such as Concern Worldwide, World Vision, Save the Children, and Action Against Hunger in the Rohingya refugee response. These roles strengthened his expertise in implementing and monitoring large-scale nutrition programs and addressing acute malnutrition in resource-constrained environments.
Currently, he serves as a Lecturer in Public Health, where he teaches Epidemiology, Research Methodology, Public Health Nutrition, Public Health Communication, and Health Systems of Bangladesh while mentoring students and contributing to curriculum development aligned with global health priorities.
His long-term goal is to contribute to impactful, policy-relevant research that improves health outcomes among vulnerable populations.
