Short Biography

Benazir Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB), where she has been serving since August 1, 2022. She has also been serving as Head (Acting) of the Department of Business Administration since August 14, 2024 and previously worked as Coordinator of the BBA Program from October 2022. Before joining CUB, she served at Northern University Bangladesh as Assistant Professor (Finance), Senior Lecturer (Finance), and Lecturer (Finance) between 2012 and 2022. She completed her MBA in Banking from the University of Dhaka in 2011 with a CGPA of 3.98 out of 4.00 and her BBA in Banking from the same university in 2009 with a CGPA of 3.73 out of 4.00. Her research interests include banking and financial services, FinTech, e-banking, credit risk, non-performing loans, bank performance, Islamic and conventional banking, and digital finance, as well as selected areas of e-commerce, consumer behaviour and human resource management. She has published research articles in journals including the Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development, International Journal of Business and Technopreneurship, World Review of Business Research, World Journal of Social Sciences, ASA University Review, Prime University Journal, and others. She is also a co-author of the book "Essentials of Internet Banking" (2023). Her research achievements include Best Paper Awards at the 7th Global Business Research Conference. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has attended training and workshops in SPSS, research writing, curriculum development, teaching, and related areas.
