Students from Canadian University of Bangladesh have visited Southeast Bank
January 04, 2024 – Today, the Department of School of Business of the Canadian University of Bangladesh successfully organized a Study Tour to the Southeast Bank PLC Head Office.
Expressing their gratitude, a BBA student at CUB, shared his excitement, stating, “visited SEBPLC Head office alongside our esteemed faculty members is a dreaming tour".
During the visit, students were thrilled to meet Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director; Southeast Bank PLC. The tour included an insightful guidance session by Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, DMD and Head of Principal Branch, Southeast Bank PLC.
During an enlightening and very informative session, several topics were discussed. The discussant addressed an insightful thought on Banking as a Career: Scope and Opportunities, credit operations, General Banking Operations, Foreign Exchange Operations in the context of SEBPLC.
The esteemed discussant from SEBPLC, Ms. Bilquis Jahan, Senior EVP and Head of HR Division; Md. Jahangir Kabir EVP, Head of International Division; Jahangir Alam, Senior VP, CRM Division; Muhammad Wahidur Rahman Patwary, Senior VP; Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Senior VP, CRM Division was present in the session.
Professor S.M. Arifuzzaman, Head, School of Business led the tour, emphasizing the creation of job opportunities for students. Mr Arifuzzaman remarked, "We aim to prepare our students for their future even before graduation, ensuring they meet North American education standards." The tour was accompanied by Asst. Prof. Benazir Rahman, school of business.
The tour commenced from the Dhaka campus at 11 am and concluded at 4:00 pm, encompassing a rich security exchange of insights between students and Bank professionals. CUB remains steadfast in its commitment to providing high-quality education aligned with North American standards.
