A tribute to mothers at Canadian University of Bangladesh’s Mothers Day event.
On a remarkable day filled with warmth and appreciation, the Canadian University of Bangladesh held a vibrant celebration in honor of Mother's Day at the university's central auditorium. Esteemed guests, faculty, and students gathered to acknowledge and honor the profound contributions of mothers to our society.
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Sajeda Chowdhury, the mother of the university's chairman. Applauded for her significant contributions to raising an exemplary generation, she was hailed as a "Role Model" of motherhood, setting a standard for dedication and love.
The keynote speech, delivered by Aroma Dutta, emphasized the pivotal role mothers play in our lives and highlighted our responsibilities towards them. She noted, "Our parents are having a miserable life, and we are celebrating Mother's Day here. We should take care of our parents as they have taken care of us when we were children." She also paid homage to the mothers of freedom fighters, recognizing them as major catalysts in the nation’s achievements.
The event also featured insights from special guests Mehereen Nessa, Dr. Farhana Monem, and Ms. Aniza Chowdhury. Dr. G.U. Ahsan, the esteemed Pro-VC and Vice Chancellor (IC), presided over the ceremony, ensuring a smooth flow of the proceedings.
